Students will receive confirmation that this course date is guaranteed to take place no earlier than 55 days before the course start date.
CoROM guarantee to run this course date if it is confirmed at that time, unless circumstances beyond our control occur that make it impossible to run the course.
A deposit of €500 secures access to the pre-course study material (online) and reserves your place on the course.
The deposit of €500 is non-refundable.
However, should CoROM end up cancelling this course date (this can happen on very rare occasions, usually due to low enrolments), the deposit, and any other payments made towards this course at that point, will be refunded within one week.
Payment in full (€1250 plus € 290 for each exam) has to be received eight weeks in advance of the course date. This allows CoROM to make the decision to run the course at your chosen date, and your cooperation in paying at that time is greatly appreciated.
Students may pay in full earlier (if desired) and a refund of all payments made (minus the deposit of €500) can be made in case of cancellation by the student. To support a visa application for traveling to Malta, a 'Letter of Invitation' can be received on request.
The deadline for cancellation of course attendance is '60 days in advance of day 1 of the course'. At that point, all payment except the deposit (€500) can be refunded on request. The refund will be made within 30 days of the day of cancellation. No refunds can be allowed for cancellations after that date.
The deadline for cancellation (or change) of exams is '50 days in advance of the exam day', and no refunds can be allowed for cancellations after that date.
As noted above, CoROM are not in a position to confirm course dates until two months before the course start date.
In many cases, when applying for a visa, a student will be asked to show proof of purchase of return flights (Ask your local Maltese or Italian Embassy for advice.)
Please consider carefully whether waiting until two months before the course start date (in other words: when you receive the course confirmation email from CoROM) until you purchase your flights and only then applying for a visa. This may, in some circumstances, not give you enough time to obtain this visa. It may be a better choice to purchase the flights much earlier and also start with your visa application more than two months ahead of the course dates.
On request, a 'Letter of Invitation' can be received, to support a visa application.
Note that CoROM will issue this letter on on having received the course fee in full.
No refund can be made of this course fee, but in exceptional circumstances (see below), the payment can be applied to a later course date.
If it turns out that you are unable to obtain a visa to travel to Malta, you will lose the deposit of €500. Any payments over and above that made towards this course and the exams can be transferred to a later date. This means: No refund can be made in this case.
(Exception - as always:
The very rare case when CoROM have to cancel a course date due to low enrollment.)
